In the face of massive deficits, the Governor and Legislative leaders are dancing. And you and your initiatives are the grass. The dance plays out in hearing rooms, private meetings, and complex questions in private with committee staff and agency representatives.
Who wants to get in the middle of that mess?
Your project is on the chopping block. Do you engage? If so, how? Worst-case scenario, your project gets crushed. But no one will blame you because… the deficit, right? “I mean, the elephants were dancing; what did you want me to do?”
